As the most versatile wetsuit in the range, it is suited to the technical capabilities and needs of much of the triathlete community. Designed for the Total Swimmer, it combines buoyancy and flexibility in order to achieve a correct position in the water, improving your hydrodynamics. The Sonar gives you the confidence you need to push a little further.

Maximum Buoyancy: With the Sonar you get 30% more buoyancy and it will ehlp you maintain a horizontal and elevated position for longer thanks to the Aerodome technology in the mens model and the targeted buoyancy, adapted to the shape of a womans body, in the womens version.

Longer Strokes: Thanks to the 1.5mm Yamamoto 39 panels and inner Super Stretch lining, you will notice an increase in your stroke distance.

Maximum Support: CLS technology supports your abdomen, preventing twisting, and when combined with Aerodome, it will help you maintain correct positioning in your lower body.

Yammamoto Neoprene - A strong, lightweight and high performance material.

39 Cell - The Yammamoto 39 Cell Neoprene is more elastic and flexible than ordinary neoprene, offering greater flexibility in specific areas.

SCS - SCS technology is a neoprene treatment that provdes minimal friciton and ensures optimal hyrodynamics.

Aerodome 2 - Consists of small cavities located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene to provide 30% more buoyancy. Unlike Exo-Lift, the inner layer of this material is composed of a high quality lining that gives the neoprene more elasticity. Orca places this material in areas with the most body weight to elevate you to an optimal position in the water.

Super Stretch - Premium inner lining provides maximum warmth and comfort so that your suit feels like a second skin. The material's composition makes the neoprene more flexible in your stroke, while providing the thermal insulation you need. Its technology reduces bad odors and prevents bacteria and skin irritation. This lining, combined with neoprene, creates the most elastic solution on the market.

Infinity Skin - The Infinity Skin inner lining gives you a sense of absolute freedom. Designed as a highly elastic nylon that incorporates Bamboo fibers, this technology is applied to the lining of the neoprene to offer you greater flexibility with each stroke. It maintains heat longer and reduces bad smells and the presence of bacteria in your neoprene. It is also composed of environmentally sustainable materials, to avoid skin irritation and to care for the environment.

CLS - Core Lateral Stabilizer system provides you with support in your abdominal area to prevent you from twisting while you swim.

Hydrolite - Helps your wetsuit come off easier making transitions even faster.

USC - Ultimate Seal Collar - The combination of laser cutting on the neck and the inverse velcro reduces friction preventing any abrasion to the skin.

YKK10 - The YKK#10 Zipper is a strong zipper of guaranteed quality. With the YKK seal it is more durable and sturdy than others on the market.

The Orca Swim Scale

Which Orca wetsuit should I get?

Orca have created a handy reference guide to help you chose the right wetsuit. They have studied swimmers for years and identified patterns of behaviour that distinguish 3 types of swimmers: The Natural Swimmer, The Progressive Swimmer and the Total Swimmer. The below information should help you identify which swimmer style best applies to you and recommends a choice of wetsuit according to your style.

You come from a swimming background or have managed to perfect your technique, with no important errors. You maintain a correct position in the water, horizontal, elevated and hydrodynamic. You are looking for maximum flexibility that lets you develop your skill, without changing your technique. You’re a Natural Swimmer.

What you’re looking for is:

ABSOLUTEFREEDOM- Minimal restriction on your stroke, providing complete freedom of movement.

A SECOND SKIN- Maximum flexibility that doesn’t compromise your technique and delays the appearance of fatigue.

JUST ENOUGH FLOTABILITY-The flotability necessary to ensure thermal insulation, without it altering your position in the water.

For Natural Swimmers, Orca recommends either the Alpha or The Equip Wetsuit.

Your technique is good. Your stroke and position are okay, but you sometimes make small mistakes related to your kicking technique. You’re looking for a wetsuit that meets your needs: maximum freedom in the upper body and extra flotability that helps you achieve a more effective and hydrodynamic horizontal position.

THE COMPLETE SOLUTION - A wetsuit that adapts technology and design, according to the swimmer's needs: flexibility and flotability, where you most need it.

TOTAL MOVEMENT - Maximum flexibility in the upper body that will not limit your movements or your technique

A LITTLE HELP - Extra flotability in the lower body will enable you to maintain a horizontal posture, even when you’re tired.

Orca recommends either the Predator of the Sonar Wetsuits for the Total Swimmer.

You’ve just recently got started in swimming and you still don’t feel completely comfortable in the water. You’re looking for a wetsuit that helps correct your position, because when your technique is less-than-polished, flotability becomes the most determining factor.

A STABLE POSITION - Flotability and extra reinforcement to improve your body position and technique.

SECURITY AT SEA - Maximum flotability that gives you confidence in open water, even when you’re tired.

IMPROVE YOUR TECHNIQUE - All the technologies that correct your weak points.

Orca recommends either the 3.8 or the S7 wetsuit for Progressive Swimmers.
